Today you are going to watch another video from Mrs. Smekens. I love her videos because she is so enthusiastic and expressive! After you watch the video about making inferences, you are going to complete her assignment at the end. She is going to show you 3 pictures. I want you to tell me what you can infer from each picture that she shows you. You do not need to make a magnifying glass, just pretend you have one. I can't wait to see your inferencing results! The attachments below are the SAME video. I'm just attaching them 2 ways in case you have any trouble.

Vocabulary
Continue working on your vocabulary log. Remember to choose one of the following choices.
1. You can make your own vocabulary log with paper. Be sure to include the word, definition, a sentences using your word, and a picture of your word.
2. You can create a document that includes all 10 words to share with me. You can type your word, the definition, a sentence using your word, and you can use clipart for the picture of your word.
Have fun learning the next set of words. We will have a quiz on them in a few weeks.

Grammar/Writing
Today you're going to begin drafting your script for your social studies project. You can do this on your social studies Google doc, but PLEASE SHARE THAT DOC WITH ME. :) Don't worry too much about grammar right now, but focus on organizing your facts in a way that flows and makes sense. Also, make sure to include all of the various facts that Mr. Williams asked you to research, but put them into your own words. Remember, you're writing this as if you ARE that person, so don't forget to use pronouns like "I". Lastly, I would suggest closing your script with the Bible verse that you feel like your person would connect with. We will edit/revise next week! :)
Spelling
As long as you completed your spelling test that was assigned yesterday, you don't have spelling work today! Have a great weekend!

Hello everyone! I realize that the last CoderZ challenge was a bit tricky. Also, many of you have not completed Adventure Peak yet. So, I'm making today a STEM catch-up day so that you can complete Adventure Peak and begin the first 2 activities of Frozen Island. You should have gotten an email from me yesterday letting you know if you're behind. Remember, all of these assignments are being taken for a grade.
Also, whether you still haven't registered for CoderZ or are just having problems with the current assignment, I'll be setting up Zoom meetings tomorrow to offer any help I can! Here are the times and descriptions for those meetings:
