Reading

Today you are going to read an article about how we can avoided getting fooled by social media tricks.

Read the article and answer the questions in complete sentences with capitalization and punctuation.

https://sn56.scholastic.com/issues/2019-20/033020/were-you-fooled.html

1. What did people get tricked into believing by social media on February 10th of this year?

2. How was this information false?

3. What does the article say we should do as readers to avoid being tricked?

4. What will you do differently after reading this article.

***Fun fact. Mrs. Lambert got tricked by the broom challenge. laugh I'm learning something new too!

Here's today's reading of Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH.

Grammar/Writing

Continue working on your comparison writing. Try your best to self-edit and revise today, and please make sure to share it with me! Look for any capitalization and punctuation errors, and make sure your paper has 4 paragraphs: an Intro, a paragraph describing the similarities, a paragraph describing the differences, and a conclusion paragraph. Remember, your intro and conclusion paragraphs can be a little shorter than the other paragraphs.

Math

Something a little fun instead of spiral math.  Let's see if you can figure them out! (not graded!) https://forms.gle/pZyA4eJYemPgbEo6A

Kite project: It is Day 5 of the project.

You will need to write down predictions in your packet.  Try to use your best reasoning for your answers.  You have the next 3 days to be able to fly your kite and complete the data table.  Looks like we may have good kite flying weather.  If you're able to, I would love for you to post pictures, or videos, to our Google Classroom of you flying your kite!  smiley

Social Studies/Bible

For today I want you to look back at your Bible Journal.

Step 1: Go through the Application portions, and choose 2 verses we have done the S.O.A.P. in the past three weeks.

Step 2: Look at what you wrote down about that days verse.

Step 3: Ask yourself have I grown in this area? Have I done what I said people should be doing according to the bible?

Step 4: In your Bible Journals write the 2 bibe verses you are looking back on one time.

Step 5: Then right below that write what you said the application of the verse is.

Step 6: Write down how you've grown or not grown in this area and why.
