Welcome Back!!!!
It's time for another day of Distance Learning! You're doing great!!!
Your Upper Elementary Team
Reading
It's time for another lesson with Mrs. Smekens. Today she is going to tell you what a good summary looks like. You do not need to complete the Yellow Ribbon assignment at the end of this video. Instead, I want you to use the skills you learned in the video to write a really excellent summary of Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. Don't forget to share your summary with me, so I can see how well you listened. Happy learning!
The links below are the same lesson, I'm just giving you more than one option in case one doesn't work well for you. :)

Now use all that great information to write a fabulous summary. :)
Vocabulary
Today you will take your vocabulary quiz. Go to your Word Study Google Classroom to find the quiz. Remember to check over your answers to make sure you marked the correct one, and to ensure that you answered every question, then hit submit. Good luck!
Grammar/Writing
This week in writing, we are going to work on a comparison writing. Comparison writings discuss the similarities and differences between two topics. I have attached an example below. :)
Start thinking of two topics that you're interested in and that you know a lot about. Maybe you like football and baseball. Maybe apples and oranges are two of your favorite fruits. Maybe you want to compare traditional school to online school! Whichever two topics you choose, they need to at least have a few things in common and a few things that are different. For example, you can't really compare an apple to a car becuase they don't really have anything in common.
We will begin pre-writing tomorrow!
